Adult Grief Support Group

Register Now For 2009:

GriefWorks, located at 6320 LBJ Freeway, Suite 121, Dallas TX 75240 is sponsoring a series of educational grief support groups throughout 2009.

The groups will be led by bereavement professional Larry M. Barber, LPC, CT.  Barber’s wife & two-year-old daughter died in a traffic accident.  He has been facilitating grief support groups for over ten years in Dallas & Fort Worth. He is certified in Thanatology (the study of death, dying & bereavement) by the Association of Death Education & Counseling.

Registration for the groups has begun.  Call to get on the list for the evening or day time grief groups to start in January 2009 and to be held throughout the year.  Your fee for the six-week group will be your donation to GriefWorks.

Week One: Understanding the Grief Journey
Week Two: Grief Is Normal
Week Three: Understanding Grief’s Emotions
Week Four: Dealing With Grief’s Emotions
Week Five: Understanding My Unique Grief
Week Six: What Now?  (Moving Toward Healing In Grief)

The group is open to the community for adults who have had a loved one die in the last two years.
