Our Ministries

At CounselingWorks, we believe relationships and individuals are restored when their emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual needs are met. The best way to help a family member who is hurting is to treat the whole family. We strive to help each family member utilize their individual strengths. Our program includes intense therapy, parenting education, and skill development in communication, coping, stress management, decision-making and problem-solving. Services available in both English and Spanish.

CareWorks is a program for economically disadvantaged children in undeveloped and under-developed countries. Many of these children suffer from abandonment, abuse, and trauma. We provide food, shelter, clothing, water, education, and physical & emotional health care. In each location, we have a working knowledge of the culture and know indigenous people we can trust to provide essential resources and support on a daily basis.

GriefWorks is a free support group program for children ages 5 to 18 who have experienced the death of a loved one. The groups participate in sharing, play, drama, and art with the support of caring and trained facilitators. Children can express their feelings of grief in a safe and loving environment. Statistics show one out of seven children will experience the death of a loved one by age 10. We believe restoring a child’s hope after experiencing a death will allow them to have healthy future relationships.

JustFamily is a safe, supportive place for blending families to be just family. It is an eight-week program provided without charge at ChristianWorks for Children.

KIDWorks (Kids In Divorce) is a free support group program for children ages 5 to 18 who are experiencing the painful effects of divorce. Children share through play, drama and art, with the support of trained facilitators. Kids are able to express their shared feelings of loss and major life changes due to divorce. At KIDWorks we believe children need special help to overcome the loss and change in their life after a divorce. Honoring that healing process is a necessary step to maintaining healthy relationships in the future.
